The Ontario-Montclair School District has embraced the power of technology to improve student learning and performance at all grade levels. In recent years the District has brought the power of technology to all classrooms, with the addition of interactive SMART Boards to stimulate student engagement, laptops to allow all teachers mobility.

Computer labs and mobile laptop labs provide students with access to tools and resources to enhance learning and develop the critical thinking skills they will need to succeed in our increasingly complex information society. With the regular use of technology tools, students learn to act as responsible digital citizens while they develop the habits of mind that will promote lifelong learning.

To help teachers become fluent, active technology users, the District promotes active collaboration among teachers and has created a forum through which teachers can share technology-enhanced lesson resources. Technology staff development focuses on the meaningful integration of technology tools and resources into engaging, standards-based lessons that meet the needs of all students.
