Ramona Students Release Their Second Publication!Use SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
A group of dedicated Ramona students, with assistance from staff, met during their recess and lunch times to create their newest issue of Ramona Kids Speak Out. This publication is a part of Ramona's new communication arts focus. Members of this group generate lists of interesting articles, search for sources, conduct interviews and write articles. We can't wait to see what they come up with next!

Twenty-one acts performed to a sold-out crowd of over 450 guests at Ramona Academy’s third annual talent show on Friday, February 3rd as a part of Ramona’s communication arts focus. Audience members were treated to singing, dancing, piano playing, story-telling by a group of pre-school students and a light show. Masters of Ceremonies were three Ramona students. A dedicated group of teachers auditioned and rehearsed the acts and masters of ceremonies since the end of November. Several acts were selected by a team of guest judges to receive special trophies. One highlight of the evening included a group dance performance where several teachers, the principal and elementary administrator made guest appearances.

On November 16th, Ramona parents were trained on a new program, First in Math during an ELAC meeting. They enjoyed the math games so much that they had a hard time putting the computers down! First in Math is an interactive Internet-based program which helps students improve their math facts. This program can be used anywhere students have a computer and Internet access. Ramona is hopeful that this new resource will help students master even more math facts in a fun and engaging way.

Ontario-Montclair School District celebrates and salutes Shining Star Students who scored perfect on the STAR test in Spring 2011.  Congratulations!
El Distrito Escolar de Ontario-Montclair saluda y celebra a los estudiantes “Estrellas Brillantes” quienes lograron obtener calificaciones perfectas en el examen “STAR” la primavera del 2011. ¡Felicidades!

Ramona Elementary Launches a New ProgramUse SHIFT+ENTER to open the menu (new window).
Ramona's GATE Academy and communication arts focus were dedicated at a ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, August 16, 2011. OMSD school board member Kristen Brake cut the red ribbon while several Ramona students assisted. Following this dedication attended by the entire student body, teachers and families; the Ramona staff and food services served 1,170 delicious pancake breakfasts to celebrate the special occasion.
